We are looking for a well-rounded Maintenance & Facilities Technician at Matheny Motors. This role is responsible for maintaining company buildings at various locations, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained work environment. This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance for facilities, mechanical systems, and equipment. Some travel may be required. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager. Experience will be considered when deciding salary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform routine building maintenance including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC tasks.

Conduct preventative maintenance on facility systems, machinery, and equipment.

Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify repair or safety issues.

Respond to maintenance requests from employees and management in a timely manner.

Repair or replace defective equipment, fixtures, or building components.

Maintain facility systems including lighting, doors, locks, and safety equipment.

Assist with facility improvements, renovations, and equipment installations.

Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and inspection records as required.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Maintain clean and organized maintenance work areas and storage areas.

Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and general grounds maintenance as needed.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

2+ years of general maintenance, facilities, or building maintenance experience preferred.

Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.

Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.

Ability to operate a forklift.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical labor for long periods of time.

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Work Environment
This position works in service shop, warehouse, office, and outdoor environments. The role may involve exposure to mechanical equipment, noise, dust, and varying temperatures. This role will require travel to other facilities in WV and on rare occasions facilities in Florida, Kansas, Virginia etc.
Day Shift
