Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to support dimensional inspection and quality activities within a manufacturing environment. This person will be heavily involved with CMM inspection, 3D scanning, GD&T, and troubleshooting dimensional issues on the production floor.

What You'll Do

- Program and operate CMM equipment
- Perform 3D scanning and dimensional inspections
- Inspect manufactured components against drawings and specifications
- Read and interpret GD&T and engineering drawings
- Review measurement results and investigate parts that are out of tolerance
- Troubleshoot inspection and measurement issues
- Work with Production and Engineering to determine the cause of quality problems
- Support new-product and production quality activities
- Help investigate recurring defects and implement corrective actions
- Complete and maintain required quality documentation

What We're Looking For
\n
- \n
- 3+ years of experience in Quality, Metrology, CMM inspection, or a similar manufacturing role
- Experience programming and operating CMMs
- Experience with 3D scanning is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Experience troubleshooting dimensional or manufacturing issues
- Familiarity with common automotive/manufacturing quality processes
- Comfortable spending time on the manufacturing floor
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Background
\n
- \n
- Automotive or high-volume manufacturing
- Stamping, welding, machining, or fabricated components
- Experience with CMM or scanning software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, PolyWorks, Geomagic, or similar
- Experience with PPAP, APQP, MSA, Gage R&R, and capability studies
- Engineering or technical degree preferred, but strong hands-on experience will also be considered
