We deliver tailored strategies, robust software solutions, and streamlined operations to help organizations achieve their goals. At N2IA, we are committed to developing innovative financial and compliance-based solutions that address evolving business and regulatory needs. If you are passionate about accounting, financial accuracy, and supporting government programs, N2IA is the place for you.

N2IA Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer (Azure) to support the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) in its ongoing cloud transformation, modernization of legacy systems, and adoption of secure cloud-native platforms. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting, deploying, and managing Azure cloud environments, with strong knowledge of security, automation, and enterprise migration best practices.

This role will contribute to major modernization initiatives across DCSA-including capabilities related to NBIS, Zero Trust, AI-enabled applications, identity and access management, and enterprise cloud migration.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Cloud Engineering & Operations

  • Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Azure cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, security groups, AKS, App Services, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Support cloud workload optimization, performance tuning, and resource management to meet mission requirements and cost targets.

Cloud Migration & Modernization

  • Assist in modernization and migration of legacy applications to Azure cloud environments.
  • Evaluate legacy architecture and recommend replatforming/refactoring paths aligned with DoD best practices.
  • Support containerization, microservices modernization, and CI/CD pipeline integration.

Security, Compliance & Zero Trust

  • Build and maintain secure cloud architectures in compliance with DoD, FedRAMP, and agency-specific requirements.
  • Implement Zero Trust-aligned solutions for identity, access, encryption, and data protection.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, and security hardening.

Automation & DevSecOps

  • Develop automated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
  • Automate operations tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Contribute to the development of reusable modules, scripts, and automation patterns.

Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Support

  • Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud issues and work with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents.
  • Provide technical guidance to mission owners, application teams, and stakeholders on cloud usage and best practices.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS, PaaS, virtual networking, storage, identity, and governance.
  • Strong experience with IaC tools (ARM/Bicep/Terraform) and Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
  • Understanding of cloud security principles, Zero Trust, and DoD cloud compliance.
  • Experience supporting migration or modernization of enterprise systems.
  • Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, or similar).
  • Experience supporting federal clients, preferably DoD or DCSA.
  • Experience with data platforms (Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory).
  • Experience integrating automation, AI/ML, or RPA capabilities in cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking, DNS, VPNs, Firewalls, and identity federation.
  • Experience building dashboards and monitoring frameworks in Azure.

This Role Is Ideal For

  • Engineers who are passionate about building secure, scalable cloud platforms.
  • Professionals who want to directly support DCSA's modernization, NBIS platform evolution, and adoption of emerging technologies.
  • Individuals comfortable working in mission-driven, fast-paced environments with senior government stakeholders.
