Working full-time from 7:45am to 4:00pm, you'll play a pivotal role from August 24th through June 11th, facilitating growth and achievement for your students.
Ideal candidates possess a passion for championing diverse learners, maintain up-to-date Pennsylvania clearances, and readily adapt to new challenges. If your clearances are more than a year old, a willingness to renew them promptly is required.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification in Pennsylvania
- Recent (within 1 year) PA clearances, or ability to obtain quickly
- Prior classroom or resource room experience with special needs students preferred
- Strong collaborative skills for working alongside educators and families
- Dedication to individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to each student’s learning needs
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs in accordance with legal and academic standards
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom culture that prioritizes inclusion and student well-being
- Track and document student growth, maintaining regular communication with parents and staff
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support professionals to ensure holistic student support
