Exciting opportunity available for an experienced Special Education Teacher passionate about making a difference in the academic and personal development of high school students. This contract role runs through the 2026-2027 school year and focuses on providing support to a cross-categorical caseload, typically consisting of about 7 students. The position is based near the beautiful Stone Lake, WI area, offering a welcoming and supportive educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching license for the state of Wisconsin
- Experience working with cross-categorical high school students
- Strong background in academic instruction and mild self-regulation strategies
- Ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to unique student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 7 high school students, focusing on academic growth and some self-regulation goals
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with student abilities, progress, and educational objectives
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service staff, and administrators to support student success
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Track progress, maintain accurate records, and engage in regular communication with parents and guardians
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings as required
As a full-time role, you’ll work Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with a schedule that allows you to build meaningful connections with students and support their educational journey throughout the school year.
