We are hiring Snow Dump Site Coordinators to support snow removal operations during winter weather events. This is an outdoor, high-visibility role responsible for directing snow plows and trucks at designated snow dumping sites and ensuring safe, efficient flow of vehicles. IMMEDIATE Start - working the first major storm in DC of 2026.
If you’re comfortable working outside in cold conditions, (with warming stations available), and enjoy hands-on operational work, this role pays well and plays a critical role in keeping roads clear and communities moving.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct snow plows and dump trucks entering and exiting snow disposal sites
- Guide drivers on where and when to dump snow safely
- Track truck and plow activity, including load fullness and site capacity
- Monitor site conditions and vehicle flow to prevent congestion or safety issues
- Communicate clearly with drivers and operations staff
- Maintain awareness during active snow events and changing conditions
Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in winter weather for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Comfortable directing vehicle traffic in an active work zone
- Reliable transportation to assigned sites
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Willingness to work overnights, weekends, and during snow emergencies
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Experience with snow operations, construction sites, traffic control, or logistics
- Familiarity with radios or basic tracking logs
- Previous outdoor or industrial work experience
