LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage the general ledgers for a portfolio of properties. Real estate industry experience is not required but a plus. This role offers extensive training, mentorship, and the opportunity to work alongside a tenured, supportive team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the general ledger for assigned properties.
  • Book journal entries and perform month-end close tasks.
  • Book accruals as necessary
  • Fixed Asset analysis, including depreciation and accumulated depreciation
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare financial statements.
  • Assist with budget to actual analysis
  • Cash Bank Reconciliations
  • Balance Sheet variance analysis with commentary and supporting schedules
  • Support the annual audit process and provide necessary documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and journal entry processes.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience (real estate experience a plus but not required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Understanding of both cash basis and accrual basis accounting

Compensation:

$55,000-$70,000

401 (k) with match
