LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage the general ledgers for a portfolio of properties. Real estate industry experience is not required but a plus. This role offers extensive training, mentorship, and the opportunity to work alongside a tenured, supportive team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the general ledger for assigned properties.
- Book journal entries and perform month-end close tasks.
- Book accruals as necessary
- Fixed Asset analysis, including depreciation and accumulated depreciation
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare financial statements.
- Assist with budget to actual analysis
- Cash Bank Reconciliations
- Balance Sheet variance analysis with commentary and supporting schedules
- Support the annual audit process and provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and journal entry processes.
- 2+ years of accounting experience (real estate experience a plus but not required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Understanding of both cash basis and accrual basis accounting
Compensation:
$55,000-$70,000
401 (k) with match
