*This position is contingent upon a future opening with Gunnison.


Salary: $135,000-$146,000/year


Work Location: Hybrid, occasional on-site in Capitol Hill, DC.


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Integration SME to join our team.

Requirements:

Candidates must, at a minimum, meet the following criteria to be considered for this position:

  • 8+ years of related experience required.
  • Communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Proficiency with BI and data visualization platforms (especially Amazon QuickSight and Power BI).
  • Strong proficiency in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools such as SSIS and Pentaho.
  • Experience building and managing data integration platforms, APIs, and middleware solutions.
  • Proficiency in Python data libraries (such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS data lakes and ETL services (such as Lake Formation, Datasync, Glue, Athena, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, database design principles, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of data governance, master data management (MDM), and data quality best practices.
  • Skilled at aggregating structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from multiple sources into unified, high-quality datasets.
  • Understanding of data security, privacy regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Expertise in data governance frameworks and best practices, including data stewardship, ownership, and accountability models
  • Strong experience implementing and managing Master Data Management (MDM) solutions
  • Proficient in data quality management, including profiling, cleansing, enrichment, and standardization techniques.
  • Ability to design and implement metadata management systems, including lineage tracking, business glossary creation, and custom data taxonomy design.
  • Familiarity with data lifecycle management and archival strategies to optimize storage and performance in enterprise environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical related discipline or High School Diploma/GED with relevant experience.

Desired qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of industry and/or public service practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, calm under pressure, excellence in triage prioritization
  • Strong organizational and product management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.



The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.
