Job Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pest control experience is not required
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid Drivers License
  • Clean Background Check: No Felonies in the past 10 years
  • Clean Driving Record: No accidents or tickets
  • Experience Driving a truck with attached trailer

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Calling and/or texting customers to confirm appointments the day before you are scheduled to arrive, when you are in route to the jobsite, and when work is completed.
  • Driving a company truck pulling a trailer
  • Obeying all traffic laws including wearing a seat belt and refraining from texting while driving.
  • Parking trailer at jobsites and storage facility
  • Collecting and processing customer payments and applying payments to invoice
  • Depositing check and cash payments into company bank account or to another team member or manager.
  • Loading and unloading of heat treatment equipment between trailer and jobsite.
  • Securing equipment within trailer for transport to prevent damage to equipment.
  • Filling propane tanks at propane supply locations.
  • Ensuring that jobsite has been properly prepared for treatment by the customer at the beginning of service.
  • Completing preparation for treatment with extreme care and compassion for the customer in some cases which may entail the handling of customer's personal belongings, valuables, breakable, or irreplaceable items.
  • Working both indoors and outdoors and often in tight spaces that may require crawling or kneeling.
  • Working both indoors and outdoors and often in high temperatures.
  • Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) including long pants, long sleeve shirt, chemical resistant gloves, respirator, closed toed shoes, eye protection, heat resistant gloves
  • Handling pesticide in accordance with label instructions in accordance with the law.
  • Mixing pesticide concentrate according to label directions in accordance with the law.
  • Applying pesticides in and around buildings and other structures and to furniture according to label instructions in accordance with the law.
  • Following bed bug treatment plans created by other team members.
  • Calling and/or texting team members and/or managers with all questions and concerns and for instruction.
  • Inspecting buildings and premises for signs of pests or infestation.
  • Designing and carrying out pest management plans.
  • Driving company truck equipped with pesticides and power spraying equipment.
  • Educating clients on techniques for reducing pest problems.
  • Cutting or drilling openings in building to access infested areas, insert nozzle, and inject pesticide.
  • Compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations.
  • Clean work site after completion of job.
  • Create and Maintain accurate records of work completed and pesticide applied.

Physical Demands

Physical ability to bend, lift, carry, climb, crouch, kneel, and perform all job requirements.

Work Environment

Depending on the season outdoor temperatures may be extremely hot. Regardless of the season interior temperatures will be extremely hot during and after heat treatment. You will be required to enter the structure during heat treatment for short intervals throughout the work day.

You will be handling hazardous materials, pesticides, so you must use proper personal protective equipment (PPE). We will provide this equipment to you. It is your responsibility to use and maintain this equipment and request replacements as needed.
