We are seeking an experienced Senior Chemical Process Engineer based in Pittsburgh, PA to focus on technical quality, design review, and engineering oversight. In this role, you will perform conceptual and detailed designs for advanced manufacturing facilities while maintaining quality across a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team by reviewing process designs, validating calculations, and mentoring engineering staff.

Hybrid/ Remote: Pittsburg, PA

Pay: 75.00 - $85.00 per hour

\n

Full-time and Part-time openings available.

\n

Responsibilities

\n

• Facility Design: Perform conceptual and detailed chemical process designs for advanced manufacturing facilities.

\n

• Quality Assurance & Review: Conduct technical quality reviews on designs performed by others. Validate calculations, specifications, and design assumptions to ensure accurate, consistent, and defensible deliverables.

\n

• Problem Solving: Utilize industry best practices and deep engineering knowledge to solve complex process engineering problems.

\n

• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers on foundational engineering applications, principles, and quality standards.

\n

• Team Collaboration: Champion a culture of continuous improvement, multi-tasking, and attention to detail while working across regional and global teams.

Minimum Qualifications

\n

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a similar engineering discipline.

\n

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in a chemical process engineering role focused on facility designs within advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or oil & gas sectors.

\n

• Industry Focus: At least 1 year of direct experience in the semiconductor industry.

\n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

• Technical Knowledge: Experience with semiconductor facilities systems and familiarity with construction deliverables (including P&IDs, detail sheets, and calculations).

\n

• Software: Proficiency with building design software such as Bluebeam and Navisworks.

\n

• Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a coaching mindset to improve team output.

\n

• Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary, globally dispersed teams.

\n
