Job Description

Exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist eager to make a meaningful difference in elementary school students’ lives. This contract position is ideal for clinicians seeking school-based experience in a collaborative and inclusive educational setting, working with young learners from early fall through late June.

You’ll play a key role in supporting children’s communication development, collaborating with a supportive team of educators and specialists. The role offers full-time hours, providing the chance to develop relationships with students and staff while supporting individualized education goals.

Qualifications:

Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license or eligibility in New York
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) welcome, but Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply
Experience or significant interest in elementary school-aged populations
Familiarity with IEPs and school-based services preferred
Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and provide speech-language therapy to elementary-aged students
Develop targeted treatment plans aligned with students’ IEP goals
Track progress and document services in compliance with district and state guidelines
Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and other related service providers
Offer support and resources to staff and caregivers to encourage student success

This contract runs from September 8 to June 25, with a schedule of 35 hours per week. Compensation is highly competitive at a weekly pay rate of $50 per hour.
