Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Neuro Transplant ICU position requiring Level I trauma ICU experience and a compact or Oklahoma RN license.

  • Neuro Transplant ICU setting within a hospital
  • \n

  • Cares for a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex, including neuro and transplant ICU cases
  • \n

  • Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
  • \n

Requirements\n

    \n
  • Active RN license (Oklahoma or compact/eNLC) required
  • \n

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
  • \n

  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
  • \n

  • Level I trauma ICU experience required
  • \n

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • \n

  • Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
  • \n

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • \n

  • Basic computer skills required
  • \n

Additional Information\n

  • Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients
  • \n

  • Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and treatments, noting changes in physician orders
  • \n

  • Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • \n

  • Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed
  • \n

  • Administers prescribed medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
  • \n

  • Communicates care plans with patients and families through discharge
  • \n

  • Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
  • \n

  • Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; onboarding requirements must be completed promptly
  • \n

  • Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
  • \n

  • Returning workers may extend only once for a maximum of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
  • \n
