Superintendent, Materials Management & Distribution - JVN First Date of Posting: 3/5/2024Last Date of Filing: 3/26/2024Authority: OA/TADepartment: Procurement and Supply ChainDivision/Unit: Materials Management & DistributionReports to: Senior DirectorWork Location: VariousHours of Work: Managerial Compensation Salary Range: $81,780 - $129,264(Grade F/ 483 points)UTLO compression rate: $125,011 Responsibilities The Superintendent, Supply Chain Operations is directly responsible for supply chain operations at one or more NYCT operating locations. Responsibilities will include: working with appropriate Maintenance personnel including the General Superintendent of Maintenance as well as working with Storeroom and Procurement personnel, among others. The selected candidate will determine and forecast material requirements to ensure efficient and appropriate maintenance and service levels. In addition, the selected candidate will factor in space and budgetary constraints to ensure that materiel is purchased and delivered in the most efficient and timely manner.Education and Experience
- At least seven (7) years of experience in the material handling, maintenance and or the supply chain field,
- including five (5) years of managerial/supervisory experience in an industrial environment; or
A satisfactory equivalent of the combined education and experience requirements. Desired Skills
- Working knowledge of Warehousing Operations / Business and Supply Chain.
- Experience working with computerized inventory and warehouse management
- Demonstrated analytical capabilities and quantitative skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or comparable applications, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Knowledge of visualization tools or comparable applications, such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc
