Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to join our team in West Des Moines, Iowa. This Contract-to-permanent position involves managing SQL Server databases, ensuring their performance, and optimizing their functionality. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to troubleshoot issues while collaborating with development teams.

Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain SQL Server databases, including tasks such as integration, stored procedures, and user-defined functions.
• Troubleshoot database issues, including security, backups, logging, reporting, and recovery procedures.
• Provide guidance and support during the development and enhancement of production applications.
• Implement and manage database changes, ensuring smooth and efficient releases.
• Monitor database performance, utilization, and capacity to minimize downtime and ensure optimal operation.
• Analyze, develop, test, and document enhancements to existing programs or create new database-related solutions as required.
• Optimize database performance through thorough tuning and analysis.
• Ensure adherence to best practices for database security and compliance.• Proficiency in SQL Server, including expertise in Integration Services, Transact-SQL, and SQL Server Agent.
• Experience with Azure SQL Database and MySQL.
• Strong skills in performance tuning and database optimization.
• Knowledge of database administration for versions such as SQL Server 2008 and beyond.
• Ability to analyze and document technical enhancements and processes.
• Familiarity with SQL Server development and analysis tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for database-related issues.
• Experience with capacity planning and ensuring system reliability.
