Legal Assistant - Hackensack, NJ
Firm:
A nationally recognized law firm specializing in litigation with over 200 attorneys across multiple U.S. offices.
Role:
This role involves administrative support, document management, client interaction, and basic legal research under attorney supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, format, proofread, and file legal documents.
- Schedule hearings, depositions, client meetings, and deadlines.
- Coordinate attorney calendars and resolve conflicts.
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients.
- Conduct basic legal research.
- Assist with trial preparation.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years as a legal assistant/secretary in a law firm setting.
- Experience with case management software
- Familiarity with e-filing systems and PDF tools
- Strong organizational skills
Compensation/Benefits:
- Base Salary: $60-75k+, commensurate with experience.
- Additional Compensation: Annual performance-based bonus.
