Residential Real Estate Transactional Attorney

We are seeking an experienced Residential Real Estate Transactional Attorney to join a dynamic and growing practice. This role will focus on handling residential real estate transactions from contract through closing, representing buyers, sellers, and lenders in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple transactions simultaneously while delivering a high level of client service.


Responsibilities

  • Handle residential real estate transactions from contract execution through closing.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts of sale, riders, and related transactional documents.
  • Conduct title review and resolve title issues, including liens, judgments, and encumbrances.
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of the closing process, including preparation of closing statements and documents.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, brokers, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel to ensure smooth and timely closings.
  • Review loan documents and ensure compliance with lender requirements.
  • Manage due diligence, including review of co-op/condo board packages where applicable.
  • Attend closings and oversee execution of documents.
  • Maintain accurate transaction files and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance to clients on legal risks, obligations, and transaction structure.


Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted and in good standing in the applicable state (NY/NJ preferred, depending on role location).
  • 2+ years of experience handling residential real estate transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of residential real estate law, title review, and closing procedures.
  • Experience representing buyers, sellers, and/or lenders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple transactions concurrently.
  • Strong communication and client service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
