Salary: $55,000 – $85,000 (depending on experience and skills)
Job Type: Full-Time | Field-Based

Position Summary:
The Technical Application Engineer will support our sales team and work directly with customers to provide technical expertise, solution design, product demonstrations, and application support for our extensive line of industrial automation, motion, and control products. You will help our customers integrate these technologies into their machine designs and manufacturing processes.
This is a field-based role, requiring travel throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, and Metro NYC.
Key Responsibilities:

Support Sales Engineers on customer visits across the territory

Set up and conduct product demonstrations for customers

Provide hands-on support and training to help customers adopt new technologies

Develop proficiency with electro-mechanical solutions, including:
-
Servo motors, drives & controls, stepper motors & drives
-
Actuators, gearboxes, robotics, variable frequency drives, HMIs
-
Other precision automation products
-

Assist with system design, component sizing, selection, quotations, and presentations
-
Provide startup assistance and technical customer support
-
Investigate customer requirements and resolve application challenges
-
Expand product usage within existing accounts and introduce new technologies
-
Collaborate closely with Sales Engineers and Product Line Partners to ensure customer success

Serve as Product Champion for selected vendors
-
Manage travel schedule, customer appointments, and project deadlines
-
Be proactive and flexible in a small office environment and contribute to a collaborative team culture
Qualifications:
-
Technical degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field
-
1–2 years of experience with automation technologies, industrial machinery, or robotics (preferred)

Exposure to:
-
Electric servo and motion control
-
PLCs and industrial control systems
-
Actuators, gearboxes, robotics, and precision mechanical technologies

Strong interest in electro-mechanical systems and a passion for technology
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel)

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
-
US Citizen
-
Must be able to sign G&G Technical Confidentiality Agreement

Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently within the region
