Step into a customer-facing role that keeps critical lifting equipment moving. As a Mobile Lifting Equipment Field Mechanic at MGX Equipment Services (Denver, CO), you’ll report to the Service Manager and support a diverse fleet of mobile cranes and boom trucks across the region.

Your Impact

  • Diagnose, service, and repair mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes at customer locations.
  • Execute comprehensive annual inspections with accuracy and care.
  • Operate independently in the field, prioritizing tasks without direct oversight.
  • Provide excellent customer service and clear, professional communication.
  • Accurately complete all service documentation: working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews, and expense reports.
  • Contribute to team success with additional duties as assigned.

  • Grove GMK European models
  • Manitowoc EPIC and Traditional
  • National boom trucks

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1+ year of experience as a crane technician/mechanic preferred.
  • Proficiency reading electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% for job sites and training.
  • Customer-focused communicator.
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.

Work Schedule & Conditions

Full-time role with typical hours of 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; overtime and weekend work may be required depending on business needs.

Work may occur outdoors and in shops with exposure to extreme temperatures, weather, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, strong odors, and loud noise. Physical activities may involve sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Frequent lifting/moving up to 40 lbs is required. Vision capabilities needed: close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
