Consolidated, a cooperative in Central Ohio dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our members and communities in Central Ohio, is seeking a Line Technician A / Apprentice.

Youll join a safety-focused team where youll work with the installation, maintenance, operation, removal, rearrangement, and inspection of energized or de-energized electrical facilities. The position may start as a Ground Technician with the requirement of advancing on to Line Technician A through Ohios Electric Cooperatives Ohio Line Worker Training (COLT) program.A current Line Technician A is preferred.

Education and Experience Required:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experienced Journeyman Line Technician or willing to complete Line Technician training courses as required through COLT.
- Must have a good working knowledge of various circuit connections, voltage of lines, phasing and transformer connections, switching devices, ability to interpret field prints and switching diagrams, and know the fundamentals of electricity.
- Must have or be able to develop a good working knowledge of the Cooperatives transmission and distribution standards.
- Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and Medical Examiners Certificate required or ability to obtain.
- Must be willing to abide by safety manual and outlined requirements.
- Must have ability to work aloft on poles, towers, and structures while climbing or working from bucket truck.
- Capable of making full use of available tools, equipment, and technologies.
- Effective communication, organization, planning, and leadership skills.
- Accuracy, self-motivation, and emotional intelligence are required.
- Aptitude to fulfill all the competencies for the position (Job Knowledge / Standards & Practices / Wood Pole Climbing / Overhead & Underground Distribution / Equipment & Metering Operations / Troubleshooting & Outage Restoration / Substation Operations & Inspections / Electrical Apparatus & System Switching / Technical Credibility & Documentation / Troubleshooting / Working with Basic Hand, Power Tools, & Technology).

This role will be based out of the Delaware, OH office and will be subject to on-call duty requiring a residence within a distance that permits arrival at the reporting station within 30-minutes under normal conditions within 90-days of hire, unless otherwise approved.
