Design Engineer | Kentwood, MI
Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Kentwood seeking Design Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Designs and develops new products and product improvements.
- Creates and maintains detailed CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Performs design analysis and simulations to optimize product performance.
- Collaborates with manufacturing to ensure design for manufacturability and assembly.
- Investigates and resolves design-related production issues.
- Selects appropriate materials and components based on application requirements.
Recommended Qualifications
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with CAD software beyond basic modeling, such as advanced surfacing or generative design.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers or lead small project teams.
- Experience with simulation tools (e.g., FEA, CFD) for design validation.
- Patent or publication related to design, engineering, or manufacturing.
