What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP license in the state of New York (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt therapy methods to diverse student needs
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions targeting speech, language, voice, and fluency
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for students
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings, consultations, and professional learning activities
- Stay current with best practices and regulations in school-based speech therapy
