Verdanterra is hiring an Oil and Gas Engineering Manager to lead civil engineering delivery for energy infrastructure projects across the Marcellus/Utica region. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can balance technical oversight, team development, and fast-moving project execution - from early design through construction support.
What This Role Owns

Lead and mentor a team of civil engineers and technicians delivering site and infrastructure designs (well pads, pipelines, access roads, and facility sites).

Oversee schedules, budgets, staffing, and technical quality across multiple active projects.

Partner with environmental, survey, and project management teams to produce permit-ready, buildable plans.

Ensure designs align with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental best practices.

Support client relationships, resolve technical issues quickly, and keep projects moving in the field.

Prepare scope and fee proposals and manage risk (scope changes, delays, cost exposure).

Preferred Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or similar.

7+ years of civil engineering experience, ideally tied to oil and gas or comparable infrastructure.

3+ years leading teams and managing project delivery.

Experience with civil design tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS (or similar).

Strong understanding of permitting and compliance for energy infrastructure projects.

PE license preferred.
