JOB TITLE: Child Care Provider (Brooklyn, NY)
ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a warm, responsible, and energetic Child Care Provider to join our daycare team serving children ages 0–12. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood development, maintains a safe and nurturing environment, and meets New York State requirements for working in a licensed child care setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise and engage children in age‐appropriate activities
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive classroom environment
• Assist with daily routines, including meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, and transitions
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Communicate regularly with parents and leadership staff
• Follow all daycare policies and state regulations
• Monitor children for safety concerns and respond appropriately
• Keep accurate attendance and incident records
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (NY STATE COMPLIANT)
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience working with children (infant experience strongly preferred)
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting
• Current physical exam and up‐to‐date immunizations (including TB screening)
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Mandated Reporter training (or willingness to complete)
• Familiarity with health and safety standards for licensed child care settings
• Ability to lift up to 30–40 pounds and meet physical demands of caring for young children
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Early Childhood Education coursework or degree
• CDA credential (Infant & Toddler or Preschool)
• Experience in a licensed daycare or after‐school program
• Knowledge of NYS OCFS regulations
