As a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer at First Onsite, your day is driven by precision, problem-solving, and proactive thinking. You start by syncing with developers and project managers to understand new feature requirements and deployment timelines. With a clear testing strategy in place, you build and execute robust automated test scripts to validate product functionality, scalability, and performance.
You're a hands-on contributor, toggling between manual and automated testing, diving into tools like Selenium, Playwright, and Postman to ensure our platforms meet exacting standards. While much of your focus is on new feature validation, you're also responsible for building a resilient automation framework and leading test strategy for regression, integration, and performance testing.
Your day may include:
- Designing and executing test plans for complex features and services across web and SaaS applications.
- Leading test automation efforts using modern frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python).
- Collaborating closely with developers to troubleshoot issues, provide root cause analysis, and verify fixes.
- Monitoring CI/CD pipeline test coverage and integrating performance/load testing tools like K6.
- Participating in sprint planning and agile ceremonies to anticipate QA needs early in the development lifecycle.
- Supporting and mentoring junior QA engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
- Staying ahead of industry trends, tools, and practices to drive continuous improvement in test quality and engineering excellence.
Your role is not just to find bugs-it's to elevate software quality from concept to release. You help deliver seamless experiences to customers by being a guardian of quality and a technical leader in all things testing.
