Opportunity Overview
SD Solutions is seeking a Systems Architect Level 2 with a strong background in cloud, enterprise IT, and emerging technologies. The candidate will evaluate technical trends, design solutions, and provide architecture recommendations for DHS financial and mission systems.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in systems architecture.
- Proven record of supporting 2–3 similar efforts within the past 3 years.
- Expertise in cloud and virtualized environments, BI reporting solutions, and Oracle suite administration.
- Experience in DHS and/or law enforcement technology environments.
- Strong ability to anticipate technical trends and recommend solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with financial system technology platforms.
- Experience within DHS and or its components and within the law enforcement context.
- Experience in deploying and maintaining systems or services in a Windows and Linux environments.
- Experience in developing and deploying business intelligence reporting solutions.
- Expert in cloud service and/or other virtualized services.
- Expert in Oracle suite administration.
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design using load balancer devices, Lambda functions, containerization, Oracle Databases, Oracle Middleware, Java/J2EE, and Microsoft Office 365.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and develop proof-of-concepts to support DHS missions.
- Provide recommendations on technical strategy and architecture to meet evolving business objectives.
- Implement automation and orchestration solutions (Ansible, Terraform, Airflow, Liquibase).
- Support financial system platforms, including mission-critical year-end processing.
- Present complex technical solutions to non-technical, executive-level officials.
