The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large datasets, performing data cleaning, writing strong SQL queries, and building ETL pipelines to support reliable reporting and analysis. This individual should also have a product mindset, with the ability to think beyond raw data and help improve processes, reporting structures, and business decisions. The candidate must be able to create dashboards, identify trends and issues, and generate actionable insights, while also being comfortable presenting findings and reports to stakeholders in a clear and professional manner. In a startup environment, this person must be quick to learn new tools and technologies, take initiative without constant oversight, and remain flexible in handling ad hoc assignments and evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  2. Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for revenue optimization

  7. Work with large datasets using Python and pandas for data analysis and reporting

  8. Support operational and performance analysis using non-billing datasets

  9. Build reports, dashboards, and analyses that support business and operational decision-making

  10. Present data findings, trends, and recommendations to internal stakeholders

  11. Approach reporting and analysis with a product mindset, focusing on usability, business value, and process improvement

  12. Collaborate closely with on-site teams across departments to provide actionable insights

  13. Assist in data pipeline management and cloud-based workflows using AWS

  14. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with internal standards

  15. Take initiative on ad hoc projects and additional tasks as needed in a startup environment

Required Qualifications

  1. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, preferably in healthcare, billing, or operational data environments

  2. Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or a related field

  3. Strong proficiency in Python, pandas, and SQL

  4. Strong experience with data cleaning, transformation, and validation

  5. Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines

  6. Experience with Power BI for dashboard development

  7. Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables

  8. Familiarity with AWS or cloud-based data environments

  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  10. Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain data clearly to stakeholders

  11. Ability to think with a product mindset and translate business needs into useful data solutions

  12. Ability to work independently while also collaborating in an in-person team setting

  13. Proactive mindset with a strong willingness to learn new tools and technologies quickly

Preferred Qualifications

  2. Familiarity with Streamlit

  3. Prior experience with healthcare billing, claims, or revenue cycle data
