This opportunity is for an Inpatient Pharmacist to support a behavioral hospital setting on a 4-8 week contract, covering a leave. The role is based in Williamsburg, VA, and requires an active Virginia Pharmacist license in good standing. Prior hospital or inpatient pharmacy experience is preferred, but candidates open to training will be considered. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with flexibility, totaling 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify electronic medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Pre-package medications to prepare for patient administration
- Manage inventory by filling and maintaining Omnicell dispensing machines
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use
Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Pharmacist license in good standing is required
- Previous hospital or inpatient pharmacy experience is preferred
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the inpatient behavioral health environment
