Key Accountabilities:

  • As a project engineer, you are responsible for maintaining Micron standard of excellence and delivering projects with the utmost attention to safety and quality.

  • Develop a URS for supplier on tooling and equipment that will be placed at Micron.
  • Determine manufacturing feasibility
  • Create SOW [statement of work] for all new projects
  • Create timeline for tracking tool builds and making sure we hit the time advocated.
  • Coordinate and set up projects timelines and have weekly communications with the customer on status updates
  • Coordinate with team members to go through PFMEA and put corrective measures in place.
  • Review the customer part prints to make sure we can meet the tolerance they request.
  • Assist quality in validation protocols [IQ, OQ, PQ] and go through data using mini tab. Send data and reports to customers.
  • Assist process engineer in development of the molding process, make sure all documentation is created
  • Maintain budgetary, scheduling and project database oversight and report regularly to the engineering manager to keep him/her constantly informed of job progress, plans and problems that significantly affect costs or schedule.
  • Finalize all project documentation to release into production.
  • Support production as needed to ensure on time delivery of finished goods.
  • There will be additional task not listed in the project scope of work.


  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields of study.
    • 5 years of prior experience in plastics and tooling preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to communicate with different stakeholders at differing levels of authority and influence.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
    • Solid Works experience preferred
    • Lean manufacturing practices.
