We are seeking a GMP Supervisor who will provide strong, effective leadership to a dynamic team within a fast-paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role involves building accountability, sharing commitments, and ensuring that performance expectations, desired outcomes, and consequences are clearly communicated and documented. The GMP Supervisor will encourage career development and growth through regular individual meetings and foster an environment conducive to initiative and risk-taking.

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional leadership on day-to-day operations, spending 70% of time coaching and developing the team.
  • Ensure employees are trained and knowledgeable on changes, revisions, and new policies and procedures.
  • Communicate daily within and across shifts, working with teams to identify obstacles and resolve problems.
  • Assess policies, procedures, processes, and practices to identify areas of improvement.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures, equipment, and job tasks.
  • Conduct Huddle Meetings, Closeout Meetings, and reporting.
  • Work with Quality, Safety, Occupational Health, and Equipment Support as needed.
  • Supervise team sizes of 15-25 depending on the group.
  • Ensure team activities are conducted in compliance with safety rules and regulatory issues.
  • Work with management to establish, monitor, and communicate KPIs.

Essential Skills

  • Strong supervisory skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SOP, FDA compliance, and GMP.
  • Minimum 18+ months of prior supervisory or management experience.
  • Prior GMP experience or in an FDA regulated environment is strongly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using SAP or similar tracking systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fields is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable wearing heavy PPE for the majority of the day.
  • Comfortable being on their feet and walking around the facility for most of the day.

Work Environment

This is a fast-paced environment with shifts available across first, second, and third shifts. Initially, shifts will be scheduled from Saturday to Wednesday or Friday night to Tuesday, transitioning to a regular Monday to Friday schedule after 6-9 months. The role includes a rotational schedule covering weekends, typically one weekend every two months, with the opportunity to take the following Monday off. Training will occur for several months on the first shift before transitioning to the normal shift. The company promotes from within, offering ample opportunities for growth and upward mobility.

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $83000.00/yr.
