Role: PMO Project Manager
Location: Fountain Valley, CA. Hybrid Role 3x week in person
Contract Type: W2 or Corp to Corp
Seeking an experienced PMO PM to be responsible for the strategic direction and success of a company's PMO. The PM will bridge the gap between corporate strategy and project execution, ensuring projects align with organizational goals.
- Strategic Planning and Process Management: PMO leaders develop and implement project management methodologies, standards, and processes to ensure efficiency and consistency across the organization.
- Resource Allocation and Prioritization: They oversee resource allocation, project prioritization based on business objectives, and portfolio management.
- Change Management: PMO leaders help organizations adapt to change, manage resistance, and ensure successful implementation of new processes and technologies.
- Stakeholder Management: They communicate with and manage relationships with various stakeholders, including C-level executives, project managers, and other team members.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: PMO leaders track project performance, analyze data, and report on key metrics to ensure projects are on track and deliver value.
- Conflict Resolution and Problem Solving: They facilitate conflict resolution, identify and mitigate risks, and address project-related challenges.
- Leadership and Team Building: PMO leaders build and motivate their PMO team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Continuous Improvement: They identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the PMO.
Experience Required:
- 5+ yrs as a PM
- Prior experience leading a PMO
- PMP Certified (Agile Certified a plus)
- Project Management Expertise: A strong understanding of various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) and best practices.
- Leadership and Communication: Ability to lead, influence, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking: Capacity to align project goals with organizational objectives and make strategic decisions.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop solutions.
- Organizational and Process Management: Strong skills in organizing, planning, and managing processes.
- Change Management: Ability to navigate organizational change and manage resistance to new initiatives.
