Job Title: Database Administrator / Data Engineer
Hourly Rate: $45 - $48

Job Summary:
CLJ Consulting and Contracting LLC is seeking an experienced Database Administrator / Data Engineer to support enterprise data operations at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC). The successful candidate will manage the optimization, integration, and security of pension plan data across systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in SQL and Oracle, with a focus on performance tuning, data pipeline development, and database migration.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Load and reconcile large pension datasets into PBGC systems.
• Develop and maintain automated data pipelines and workflows.
• Perform database performance tuning, indexing, and optimization.
• Monitor database health and ensure data consistency and integrity.
• Support data integration efforts for pension plans and benefit systems.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with security and access control standards.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with SQL, Oracle databases, performance tuning, and data migration.
• Demonstrated experience in data integration and automation within enterprise environments.
• Ability to manage high-volume data operations and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass all required background checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with pension systems, government data environments, or legacy system transitions.
• Familiarity with ETL tools, scripting languages, and data security protocols.
Additional Information:
• Core working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.
• Weekend or after-hours work may occasionally be required with prior notice.
