Role scope
- Receive work orders and parts kits from your Lead or Supervisor; verify parts accuracy and condition and report discrepancies.
- Pre-assemble and wire components such as engines, motors, and switchboxes.
- Build assemblies including engine components, water pumps, blade shafts and guards, axles, transmissions, and cutting heads.
- Apply assembly processes using hand and pneumatic tools, including sanding, oiling, measuring, bolting, wiring, aligning, tightening, and torqueing.
- Read blueprints and adhere to documented procedures and written instructions.
- Finish units, apply serial decals, and perform paint touch-up as needed.
Quality and shipment
- Conduct test runs to confirm proper operation.
- Complete inspection checklists and alert your Supervisor for final inspection.
- Crate or box units, include required literature and tools, and stage for pick-up.
- Maintain a clean work area and tools; report repair needs.
- Hold high-quality standards for fit, function, and finish; suggest improvements to procedures and specifications.
- Follow safety procedures and promptly report safety or ergonomic issues.
Minimum qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of mechanical assembly experience.
- Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions and interpret blueprints.
- Capable of standing for long periods and using vibrating pneumatic tools for short durations.
- Mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand tools, and readiness to learn basic electrical wiring.
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and direction-following work style.
