At our state of the art dental practice, we are interested in hiring a new dental assistant. The Dental Assistant will provide essential support to dentists and office staff in a private dental practice setting. This role involves assisting with clinical tasks, ensuring sterilization and infection control, and delivering patient care primarily focused on adult patients, while serving all age groups. The assistant reports to both the Dentist and the Office Manager and contributes to a smooth and efficient dental office operation.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists chairside during procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Ensure strict infection control protocols are followed
- Support patient care and comfort before, during, and after treatments
- Communicate effectively with patients and dental team members
- Maintain organized and clean clinical work areas
- Collaborate with team members to optimize office workflow
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in dental assisting
- Certificate from an accredited dental assisting program
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification
- Proficiency in chairside assistance and sterilization procedures
- Strong skills in patient care, infection control, and communication
- Demonstrated teamwork abilities
- Spanish-speaking candidates preferred
