Shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Schedule: Monday–Saturday, with required overtime
Peak Season: Must be comfortable working up to 14 days straight during peak shelling season
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join a busy peanut shelling facility. This position requires someone who is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working overtime during the busy shelling season.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift safely throughout the facility
- Move, load, unload, and stage materials and products
- Transport peanuts and other materials to designated areas
- Assist with general warehouse and production duties as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and workplace guidelines
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Previous forklift operating experience REQUIRED
- Must be comfortable working in a peanut shelling/production environment
- Must be available to work Monday through Saturday
- Overtime is required
- Must be comfortable working up to 14 consecutive days during peak shelling season
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Important: This position has a demanding schedule during peak season. Candidates must have the availability and flexibility to work required overtime and extended consecutive workdays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smithville, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
