A day in this role
By sunrise, you’re rolling into a customer facility in your company vehicle. The plant has a critical motor down, and production is waiting on your expertise. You inspect, isolate the fault, and coordinate a safe lift to remove the unit. By midday, you’ve swapped bearings on a blower, corrected a packing issue on a pump, and documented findings for the operations team. Before you leave, you walk the floor, run a quick condition check on another motor scheduled for a planned outage, and brief the customer on next steps. You head out knowing your work just kept a line running and people on the job.
Scope of work Electric motors
- Troubleshoot motor performance and electrical/mechanical faults in the field
- Remove and install motors across a range of sizes and configurations
- Perform condition inspections and document findings
- Lead both major and minor motor outage activities
- Repair and replace bearings as needed
Pumps
- Remove and install industrial pumping equipment
- Set and adjust packing glands and mechanical seals
- Diagnose and resolve performance and reliability issues
Blowers & fans
- Conduct inspections and complete corrective repairs
- Replace bearings and related components
- Perform condition assessments and troubleshoot anomalies
You’ll be the on-site technical authority—interfacing with customers, juggling competing priorities, and closing out work independently and safely.

What you’ll bring
- Uncompromising commitment to safety
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- At least 5 years of mechanical experience with industrial equipment
- Solid understanding of electric motors, wiring, and field troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of blowers and pump systems
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Personal set of general hand tools
- Self-directed work style with strong task management
- Willingness to travel and work out of town with overnight stays
- Professional, confident communication with customers
