Job Title: Maintenance Technical Lead (Supervisory – Manufacturing)
Location: Toledo, OH
Pay Rate: $45.00 – $50.00 per hour
Schedule: Looking for somebody with open availability to work any shift and OT

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technical Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing maintenance operations within a manufacturing and testing environment at Toledo Supplier Park. This role provides technical leadership for a team of skilled trades professionals and ensures that maintenance activities supporting automotive testing equipment, plant infrastructure, and facility systems are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.

The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on technical expertise with proven leadership skills, including the ability to prioritize work, troubleshoot complex automation systems, and support preventative maintenance programs that ensure operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, prioritize, assign, and supervise maintenance and repair activities for automotive testing equipment, facility equipment, and building systems.
  • Lead and support a multi-trade maintenance team to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot automated testing systems and identify root causes of equipment issues to determine corrective actions.
  • Ensure maintenance operations comply with corporate policies, safety regulations, and applicable industry codes.
  • Support and enforce environmental health and safety requirements across all maintenance activities.
  • Track and monitor maintenance performance metrics, including preventative maintenance completion rates and overtime utilization.
  • Maintain workforce scheduling, timekeeping records, and vacation tracking for the maintenance team.
  • Coordinate environmental inspections and waste removal activities in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for janitorial services and other facility service providers.
  • Procure necessary parts, materials, tools, and equipment required to complete maintenance tasks.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of maintenance materials, spare parts, and equipment.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial automation experience, including project management responsibilities
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving experience in industrial equipment environments
  • Proven leadership experience supervising or mentoring skilled trades employees
  • Ability to manage multiple maintenance projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across hourly employees and senior leadership
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • Experience working in Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement environments
  • Experience supervising maintenance teams in a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Red X preferred)
