Job DescriptionSalary: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00

Position Summary:

The Facilities Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing facilities tickets that are submitted by the field. This coordinator will assist team members with the day-to-day maintenance of ABA Centers and Life Skills Autism Academies ("Centers") to ensure continuity of operations as well as a safe work environment for team members and clients. This position is responsible for proper management of Centria's entire portfolio of leased sites located in Michigan and 12 other states.

Responsibilities of the individual filling this position will include oversight of general property and maintenance operations, capital improvement planning and implementation, vendor contract and performance management, and landlord relations. This high-profile position will oversee both internal and external maintenance staff and will also spearhead improvements to processes and procedures related to the maintenance/operations of our centers.

The ideal candidate for the Facilities Specialist position is a dynamic, problem-solving self-starter with demonstrated leadership and experience in the field. Our working environment is extremely fast-paced and requires work above a typical 40-hour workweek and resolution of issues outside regular working hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that therapy centers and offices are properly and efficiently maintained, and that repair requests are addressed and completed in a timely fashion, primarily through ticket requests.
  • Schedule and monitor daily activities of contractors and vendors, and ensure that both perform to the highest standards.
  • Respond to and resolve facility emergencies both independently and collaboratively with the Facilities Manager.
  • Maintain the safety and integrity of locations, systems, and equipment, project future needs, including capital requirements and improvements, implement and oversee preventative maintenance programs.
  • Communicate regularly with landlords to ensure a high level of compliance with landlord obligations and satisfaction with locations.
  • Work on ad hoc requests and special projects for the Facilities Manager.
  • Assist with fleet-related activities.
  • Provide solutions to ticket issues that come through the Facilities, Fleet, or Purchasing Help Desk.
  • Assist with site inspections and quality assurance audits of locations.
  • Coordination and disbursement of deliveries sent to the Resource Center (Headquarters) for departments and staging.
  • Compliance with Centria's Code of Conduct, policies and procedures, and Federal and State Laws.
  • Responsibility to report violations of Company policies or the Code of Conduct.

Qualifications:

Education/Licenses

Bachelor's degree in a related area is preferred

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a facilities, customer service, or other related role.
  • Background in ABA Therapy Services from an Operations standpoint is preferred.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. The ability to communicate and work with all levels of team members.
  • Experience in dealing with facility-related matters.

Equipment and Technology Requirements

  • Basic computer skills
  • Working knowledge of laptop/desktop PC
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, comfortable with remaining Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • Proficiency in G Suite

An initial assessment of competency will be completed during the interview period and evaluated on an ongoing basis.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to identify needed improvements and implement positive change, to improve productivity and efficiencies.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Centria's office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM.
  • Additional time or occasional shifts in schedule may be required as dictated by the needs of the business for projects and meetings.
  • Occasional travel may be required <10% of working days.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, physical requirements such as bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 45 pounds may be required. This role will require sitting most of the day as well as walking and standing periodically. This role may require close visual acuity on computer screens or monitors and the ability to analyze data and figures on a screen.
