Job Title: Legal Assistant – Litigation

Job Summary:
Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Legal Assistant to support our litigation attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of litigation procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery materials.
- File legal documents electronically in state and federal courts (e-filing).
- Maintain and organize case files, both electronic and physical.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions, hearings, and client meetings.
- Conduct basic legal research and summarize case law and statutes.
- Assist with trial preparation, including assembling exhibits and preparing trial binders.
- Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
- Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of legal tasks.
- Perform general administrative duties such as answering phones, managing correspondence, and billing support.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant or paralegal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal document management systems.
- Familiarity with New Jersey and federal court procedures and e-filing systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- High attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- Associate degree or paralegal certification preferred.
