Meuser, Yackley & Rowland, P.A. (MYR) is a respected Minnesota law firm representing injured workers and first responders statewide. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys supporting others, and is looking for a long-term position in a professional office setting.
Compensation
$18.50–$23.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. This is a non-exempt position.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals
- Answer phones and serve as a professional, friendly first point of contact for clients
- Prepare, proofread, and send correspondence and basic legal documents
- Organize, scan, and maintain physical and electronic case files
- Request and track medical records and other documentation
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and conference calls
- Data entry and database management
- Assist with billing tasks, file management, and general office support
- Perform other administrative duties as needed to help the team operate efficiently
Preferred Qualifications
(Preferred but not required—training available for the right candidate)
- Prior legal or professional office experience
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable communicating with clients by phone and email
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; comfortable learning new software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
