Security Controls Assessor Representative

Tope is seeking a Security Controls Assessor Representative (SCAR) to support the AF Strategic Program Information Services team in support of the Sentinel Information Services (IS) team. The selected applicant will join an Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence. This position works with fellow SCARs, Security Controls Assessors (SCAs), Information System Security Managers (ISSM), Program Managers (PM), and Authorizing Official (AO) representatives to obtain and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) approvals for various AFNWC weapon subsystems and supporting IT systems by adhering to the Risk Management Framework (RMF). This position is responsible for reviewing, assessing, and providing advice/recommendations to the SCA/AO throughout the RMF process for assigned programs.

Position requires a current Security+ Certification, fully adjudicated DoD Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance and at least 8+ years’ experience (with a MS degree), 10+ years’ experience (with a BS degree) or 12+ years’ experience (with a HS diploma) with:

· Windows server operating systems and concepts

· Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) and cyber functions (DoDIN operations).

· Cybersecurity risk assessments and experience with eMASS.

· Administering computer networks, hardware, databases, applications, security components, computer operations, and operating system maintenance

· Risk Management Framework (RMF)

· Excellent customer service skills

Other skills desired are:

· System and Application installation, STIG, troubleshooting and tuning.

· Standards compliance and information assurance, including ITAR, CCA, FedRAMP, DIACAP, RMF, ITIL, CMMI

· Understanding of the DoD environment and familiarity with the DoD Acquisition System

· Ability to build bridges across organizational boundaries, and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical leaders across large complex organizations.
