Skilled Shop Welder

Location: Liberty, MO
Pay: $24.00–$28.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday with OT opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal components and assemblies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and assemble materials to precise tolerances.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with grinding, finishing, and other metal fabrication processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of welding experience in a shop or fabrication environment.
  • Strong MIG welding experience required.
  • TIG welding or experience with additional welding processes preferred.
  • Good math skills and the ability to perform accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of metal finishing processes and fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical or vocational training in welding, fabrication, or a related field highly preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely maneuver materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Comfortable working in an active fabrication shop environment.
