Job Title: Level 1 Mechanic
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday – Saturday | 10–11 hours per day
Pay: $20–$23 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Level 1 Mechanic to join our field team working on industrial and mechanical installation projects across the Houston area. This position works as part of a three-person crew responsible for installing air lines and piping systems at various job sites. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working long shifts in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of air lines and piping systems at industrial and commercial project sites
- Measure, cut, assemble, and secure piping using basic mechanical tools
- Support team members with material handling, layout, and installation tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
- Follow project plans, safety procedures, and supervisor instructions
- Travel to different project locations throughout the Houston area
Requirements
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work 10–11 hour shifts, Monday through Saturday
- Must be able to work effectively as part of a 3-person crew
- Basic hand tools required (employee must provide their own tools)
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle materials typically used in piping installation
- Reliable transportation to project sites in the Houston area
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in mechanical, construction, or industrial installation work
- Familiarity with basic piping or air line systems
- OSHA certification (preferred but not required)
