Behavior Technician (2:1 Support Team) - 25 Hours/WeekJoin Our Team and Make a Meaningful Impact


We are seeking two experienced Behavior Technicians (BTs) to join our Ventura Center team in a unique 2:1 staffing model, providing intensive support for a young child with significant behavioral and skill-development needs. This role is ideal for BTs who have experience working with children who engage in severe challenging behaviors and who are confident implementing behavior intervention plans in a highly collaborative environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with a dedicated clinical team, receive ongoing support from supervising BCBAs, and make a measurable difference in a child's quality of life.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• 1:30 PM - 6:30 PM
• 25 hours per week to start (w/potential of Full Time)
• Location: Ventura, CA

What You'll Do

• Implement individualized behavior intervention programs under the supervision of a BCBA.
• Provide direct 2:1 support for a child with significant behavioral challenges.
• Collect accurate data on client goals and behavior targets.
• Support skill acquisition across communication, social, daily living, and self-regulation domains.
• Utilize evidence-based behavior management and de-escalation strategies.
• Collaborate with supervisors, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency of treatment.
• Maintain professionalism, safety awareness, and adherence to clinical protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Behavior Technician or RBT.
• Experience supporting children who exhibit severe challenging behaviors, including aggression, self-injurious behavior, property destruction, elopement, or other high-intensity behaviors.
• Received crisis prevention training
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and therapeutic during behavioral escalation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Human Development, or a related field preferred.
