Job DescriptionProperty Maintenance Technician Mancan is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day operations of our apartment community. This position is responsible for completing work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all units and common areas are safe, clean, and in excellent condition. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while following established guidelines. Hours M-F 8am - 4:30 pm Based between $16- $20 Based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs in apartments, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair Complete service requests/work orders in a timely and professional manner Prepare vacant units for new tenants (turnovers), including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment Maintain common areas, grounds, and building exteriorIdentify and report safety hazards or major repair needs Assist with emergency maintenance calls as needed Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance log
Qualifications:
Previous maintenance experience in apartment or property management preferred Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (if required)Skills & Abilities:Self-motivated and depenble Strong problem-solving skills Good communication and customer service skil lsAbility to follow complex guidelines and safety proceduresBasic computer skills for work orders and reporting
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, bend, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions Comfortable working with tools and maintenance equipment
