Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) – Long-Term Care (LTC)
Location: Vestal, NY
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 16 weeks
Shift: Day, Evening, and Night Shifts Available
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts/week | 36 hours/week | Every other weekend as requested
Local Candidates Required: Yes
Traveler Candidates Required: Yes

Pay Rate
Local: $1,200 - $1,250/week
Traveler: $1,250 - $1,350/week

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced LPN/LVN to provide nursing care to residents in a long-term care and skilled nursing setting.

Required Qualifications

Active New York State LPN/LVN license; proof must be provided at submission. No license hits allowed.
Minimum 1 year of LTC or Skilled Nursing experience.
Current BLS certification.
Ability to pass a medication administration test and clinical observation.
Strong medication administration, documentation, and resident monitoring skills.
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
Dependable attendance, punctuality, and scheduling flexibility.
First-time travelers accepted.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience caring for residents with Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

Responsibilities

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Perform medication passes accurately and safely.
Monitor residents' health status and report changes promptly.
Provide nursing care in a long-term care and skilled nursing environment.
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Supervise CNAs on assigned units.
Support residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other long-term care needs.
Follow facility policies, patient safety standards, and infection control procedures.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality resident care.
