Job DescriptionSenior Solutions Architect

Senior Solutions Architect

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade solutions across cloud and hybrid environments. The role focuses on solution architecture for large-scale systems with a strong emphasis on Azure and DevOps practices, ensuring integration, reliability, scalability, security and alignment to business goals. You will work with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to define technical strategy, establish architecture standards, and guide implementation across multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive enterprise solution architecture and technical strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise standards.
  • Design and document end-to-end architectures for cloud (primarily Azure) and hybrid solutions, including compute, networking, security, data, and integration layers.
  • Lead DevOps transformation: define CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform/ARM/Bicep), automated testing, and deployment practices to enable repeatable, secure releases.
  • Architect and oversee systems integration using messaging and iPaaS platforms (e.g., Service Bus, Boomi) to connect ERP, ECommerce, POS, HRIS and other enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering and operations teams to translate business requirements into scalable, cost-effective technical solutions.
  • Ensure data platform and analytics architecture supports business needs (data ingestion, Snowflake, reporting with Power BI) and maintains data governance and security.
  • Establish architecture patterns, reusable components, and best practices; maintain architecture documentation and run architecture reviews and gating for major initiatives.
  • Drive non-functional requirements: performance, scalability, resilience, security, compliance (SOX/ITGC) and operational excellence.
  • Mentor and coach engineering teams on architecture principles, design decisions, and operational practices; participate in hands-on prototyping and proof-of-concepts.
  • Evaluate new technologies, tools and third-party platforms; provide recommendations and roadmap for adoption and technical debt reduction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in solution or enterprise architecture for large enterprise systems.
  • Proven expertise in Solution Architecture and Enterprise architecture practices with demonstrable Azure experience (designing and operating Azure workloads).
  • Strong DevOps experience including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing and deployment practices.
  • Experience with systems integration patterns and middleware (message buses, APIs, ETL/iPaaS).
  • Practical experience integrating ERP, ECommerce, POS and HRIS systems or similar enterprise applications (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with Boomi, Service Bus, Snowflake and Power BI is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of SOX and ITGC controls and how they apply to IT architecture and operational processes.
  • TOGAF certification or equivalent enterprise architecture pedigree is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and documentation skills; experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing technical decisions.
  • Hands-on proficiency with cloud architectural tools, containerization, orchestration, scripting and observability solutions; strong security-first mindset.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation ($175-185k/yr w/20% max bonus, 34% LTIP)
  • Full health benefits (medical, dental, vision)
  • PTO
  • Paid holidays
  • Hybrid schedule (travel to Tyler location for a few days every other week required)
  • Much more!
