Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Associate to join our growing team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone passionate about technology and eager to provide hands-on support to end-users. You will be the first point of contact for IT-related issues, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the firm. This hybrid role will be in the office 3 to 5 days a week and work from home the remaining days.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to staff via phone, email, and in-person
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues on Windows-based systems
- Follow documentation to set up and configure laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees, including account setup and equipment provisioning
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses
- Document support issues and resolutions in the help desk ticketing system
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on system upgrades, patches, and projects
- Support Azure virtual desktops and troubleshoot connectivity
- Ensure compliance with firm-wide IT policies and security protocols
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience
- 1 or more years of experience in a help desk or IT support role
- Comfortable providing IT support for a remote working environment with different time zones
- Strong understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic networking concepts
- Willingness to learn and grow within the IT field
- Occasional overtime and weekend hours during busy season (Jan-April & August-October)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Customer-focused mindset with a desire to help others
Preferred Requirements
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure Virtual Desktops, remote support tools, and ticketing systems
- Experience in a professional services or accounting firm environment
