Cosmo’s Dog Bakery & Pet Supplies is seeking a Dog Biscuit Baker to work in our fast paced, fun, and creative bakery. As a woman owned business in the heart of Wheat Ridge, we have been serving up delicious and nutritious treats for dogs since 1995. Our core value is dedicated to the health and wellness of all dogs and cats, therefore, employees are responsible for spreading this message with knowledge and enthusiasm. Our biscuits and other bakery goods are all made with human-grade ingredients, and are USDA approved.
Beyond supporting our values, this position includes but is not limited to: hand cutting dog biscuits, decorating bakery items (seasonal biscuits, cakes, and pupcakes), packaging online and wholesale orders, and daily cleaning. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us, and cares about making a quality product that we all know our dogs deserve.

Key Responsibilities:

Cutting out dog biscuits by hand

Decorating bakery items such as seasonal biscuits, cakes, and pupcakes

Cleaning; sweeping, mopping, dishes, wiping down surfaces, washing dishes, etc.

Maintaining organization and efficiency within the bakery

Fulfilling wholesale orders and online orders in a timely manner

Keeping an eye on the level of bakery supplies

Learning recipes, and following directions with precision
Qualifications:
-
An ability to learn new techniques and skills quickly and enthusiastically
-
Must be able to stand for several hours, while also bending, lifting and turning
-
Brings a positive attitude, and has the ability to both communicate and take direction well

Has access to reliable transportation

Ability to lift up to 50lbs
-
Must be comfortable working in a sometimes noisy environment

Must be a team player, but also must be capable of working on tasks independently

Must be reliable - being on time and showing up to work
-
Prior bakery, food prep, or production experience is preferred but is not necessary.
Work schedule:
Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 3:00/3:30pm
Ability to potentially work outside these hours for occasional events
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 38 per week
