Customer Service Manager
Theodore, AL | Full-Time | Direct Hire
Long’s Human Resource Services is seeking an experienced Customer Service Manager for a growing manufacturing company in Theodore, Alabama.
This hands-on leadership role oversees daily customer service operations, maintains customer relationships, and coordinates with internal teams to support accurate orders and on-time delivery.
The ideal candidate has a strong account management background, excellent communication skills, and experience supervising customer service employees.
Responsibilities
Customer Service and Team Leadership
- Manage daily customer service operations and department workflow.
- Serve as the primary contact for customer concerns and maintain regular customer communication.
- Provide backup support for customer service staff as needed.
Order and Shipping Coordination
- Verify customer orders for accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Review shipping documents for accuracy before shipment.
- Maintain customer portals and website communication records.
Records and Documentation
- Update customer work instructions, shipping matrices, pricing files, EDI master data, and part number documentation.
- Maintain departmental records and customer files.
Office Support
- Manage office supply inventory.
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
- Support visitor sign-in procedures and related office policies.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in account management, customer service, or customer satisfaction.
- Prior supervisory experience in a customer service environment required.
- College degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage departmental responsibilities.
- Professional and detail-oriented, with confidence serving as a primary customer contact.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
