This contract opportunity is ideal for compassionate educators ready to guide students with diverse needs, delivering impactful instruction and fostering a supportive classroom environment. With two openings available, your expertise will benefit either an elementary autism classroom or a PreK special education program.
What you’ll bring:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (Emergency Certificates not accepted)
- Experience working with elementary and/or early childhood special education students
- Knowledgeable in autism support interventions and inclusive teaching strategies
- Comfortable adapting instruction for a variety of developmental and learning needs
- Ability to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff
- Open to both tenured and travel educators; pending teaching certifications considered
Role responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction aligned to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
- Create a positive, structured, and encouraging classroom environment
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and progress with clear documentation
- Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to manage behavior and promote effective communication
- Participate in school meetings, staff development, and ongoing training as required
This is a full-time, onsite position providing 37.5 hours per week. You’ll have a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience over an extended contract and build strong connections with students and the educational community.
